Amy Hughes World Record Attempt
We're very excited to have the opportunity to work with Amy on her next challenge, The Treadmill Challenge. Amy will be attempting to break the world record for the most miles ran on a treadmill over a seven day period. The current record is 517 miles, Amy is hoping to run 530 miles in 7 days, averaging 3 marathons a day, just short of 21 marathons in a week. The event will begin Thursday 1st September - 7th September at JD Sports Liverpool.

53 MARATHONS IN 53 DAYS 2014.
In 2014 Amy took on the challenge of her life, with no expectations, just a real passion and drive to complete the mammoth challenge of covering 1380 miles in 53 days, running a marathon in a different town or city each day, all around the UK. Amy raised £53,000 for the Isabelle Lottie Foundation.
RUNNING 250 MILES FROM OSWESTRY TO LONDON AND THE LONDON MARATHON WITH BLUE PETER.
In April 2015 Amy trained Blue Peter presenter Lindsey Russell to run the London Marathon, deciding to tie in her own challenge with this Amy ran from her home town of Oswestry to London covering 250 miles in 6 days, averaging 32 miles a day.
After completing her 53 marathon challenge Amy was incredibly lucky to land her first TV job with Blue Peter. As well as being her favourite program in childhood, it soon became apparent that Amy loved being in front of the camera. Amy worked on the show as a contributor for just over 8 months training Barney to run a 10k and Lindsey to run the London Marathon. Amy has also just finished filming four one-hour episodes of a new series “On The Run” airing in September. Throughout Amy’s 53 Challenge she received national press coverage and has been interviewed numerous times for BBC and ITV.
Amy has been sharing her story both near and far, after completing her 53 Marathon challenge, Amy has delivered talks for many organiSations and schools. Amy’s main mission is to inspire and motivate people to become more active and to live their lives to the full. Amy was a normal girl with a big dream and wants to show others that the impossible is always possible when you put your mind to it. Amy has spoken at many events such as school presentations, award ceremonies, festivals, women’s retreats & race events, to name but a few.
