Ultimate Flora For Kids is a blend of probiotics (good bacteria) that is specifically formulated for a child’s digestive system. It is delivered as a delicious chewable tablet with a natural berry flavour (made from real berries and fruit) with a taste that children simply love!
There are trillions of beneficial bacteria that naturally live in the small and large intestine or bowel. While there are hundreds of different strains of bacteria that live in the digestive tract, some strains are more prevalent in children including; Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifobacterium breve & Bifidobacterium infantis. These good bacteria (as well as others) are normal inhabitants of the large and small intestines and are an important part of a healthy digestive system. Recent research shows that probiotics help improve gastrointestinal function, respiratory and allergy response, as well as counter the negative effects of antibiotic use.
Up to 80% of the immune system is located in and around the digestive tract. Ideally there should be a balance of approximately 80% ‘good’ and neutral bacteria to 20% ‘bad’ bacteria in your child’s intestinal tract.
Ultimate Flora For Kids contains two important types of friendly bacteria Lactobacilli (L’s) and Bifidobacterium (B’s):

In infancy, Bifidobacteria (B’s) help promote the gut barrier, support the immune system and are very important to a child’s health. In fact, Bifidobacterium infantis is a main inhabitant in the intestines in infants and children who have been breastfed. If a child did not receive Bifidobacterium infantis and other Bifidobacteria in breastmilk, allergies and malabsorption of nutrients can become a problem which can continue on throughout childhood.
Children who have been formula fed, are born via C-section, are given antibiotics, medications, suffer stress, illness or poor nutrition will benefit the most from therapeutic doses of key live bacteria for children, including Bifidobacterium infantis and Bifidobacterium bifidum.
