Natures Aid Liquid Coconut Oil Review

March 26, 2015

Coconut oil has become incredibly popular in the last few years, many people now choose it over the popular and more commonly used vegetable, olive and sunflower oil and it may be down to coconut oil being classed as one of the most healthful oils found on earth. The reason the oil is highly recommended for cooking is because of its ability to remain stable enough to resist heat induced damage.

MCFAs are medium-chain fatty acids and MCTs are medium-chain triglycerides which are both found in coconut oil , they are smaller and easily digested by your body so they dont get stored as fat. Vegetables oils contain long-chain triglycerides LCTs which are larger and therefore harder to break down.

I was a little unsure when using coconut oil instead of olive oil when cooking my meals because of the flavour, previously i had only used coconut oil in baking to add flavour and the thought of all my meals having a hint of cocnut wasnt very appealing to me. So far ive made curry, stir frys, omelettes, bolognaise, fajitas and tacos and not once has there been a strong coconut flavour to my meals which has been noticible enough to make it taste different to when using olive oil.

The liquid version in my opinion is easier and more convenient than the soild oil. Its easier to judge the correct amount , quicker and not as messy ( i normally end up bending a spoon scooping it out the jar and flicking it across the room) changing oil has been an easy process and a far betterr choice for my health.
