Part of the Core Series, the USN HMB 1000 capsules (Beta-Hydroxy-Beta-Methylbutyrate) is the by product of the essential Amino Acid Leucine. Research has shown that HMB can increase muscle growth and can help prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue.
The Leucine that you consume in your diet is converted into HMB, but only a small amount can be taken from food, so it's important to top your levels up to the optimum amount to support your muscles.
HMB is produced in our body from the proteins that are provided from our diet, however, only a small amount (roughly 5%) of the Leucine that you consume from your diet is converted into HMB.
For the production of HMB to reach the optimal levels required to feel the benefits, you’ll need 20-50 grams of Leucine per day.
